In addition, Toptech was IECEx certified on November 15, 2006. This authorizes Toptech to manufacture equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Toptech has also received approval from InMetro in Brazil for the MultiLoad II SMP and the RCU II Explosion-proof products.

ATEX Directive 94/9/EC
The ATEX Directive 94/9/EC is a directive adopted by the European Union (EU) to facilitate free trade in the EU by aligning the technical and legal requirements in the member states for products intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
IECEx Equipment
IECEx is an International Electrotechnical Commission certification standard for electrical equipment for use in explosive atmospheres, while maintaining a required level of safety. The IEC is a non-profit, independant international standards organization that prepares and publishes international standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies.
