What are the benefits of using Multiload II+?

Monday, September 21, 2026

Multiload II+ is an electronic preset/batch controller used to automate and provide flow control for loading or unloading liquid products at terminals, refineries, and bulk plants.

Instead of depending on manual pump or mechanical valve control, and constant operator oversight, a preset handles loading automatically. After the target quantity is entered, the system regulates flow, controls valve operation, blends additives, and ends the loading cycle at exactly the right point.

The Multiload II+ ensures that the exact amount of product, whether it’s refined petroleum products or industrial chemicals, is delivered according to the specifications set by the operator.

What makes Multiload II+ better than the competitors?

  • Modular design. The Multiload II+ uses a modern and flexible distributed I/O technique, based on our popular FCM II modules. This allows operators to easily upgrade their loading racks by adding FCMs. This avoids needing to purchase, engineer and install additional presets when business needs change.
  • Scalability. Without major investment, easily add loading arms, meters, components and additives, without purchasing additional presets. Multiload II+ supports up to 12 loading arms per bay, up to 5 meters & 16 additives per loading arm.
  • No cost firmware updates. Available on the public website, with technical support available 24/7.
  • Integrated card reader. No need to purchase a separate device.
  • Diagnostic features. Operators have access to logs with visibility on failures, including faults and alarms.
  • Secure. Uses SSL connections, alongside multi-level user access controls and role-based permissions for authorized personnel. Supports disaster recovery with automatic configuration backups to quickly recover from an unplanned outage.
  • Physical validation. Standalone and networked configurations support driver/PIN validation and integrated card readers to restrict loading rack and facility access.

Key Benefits for Many Applications

  • Feel confident. Load blended fuel products with complex recipes at a truck rack bay, a barge or other large vessel berth, a rail-siding, a pipeline transshipment center or at a remote LACT skid. Secure access to the load transaction details and encrypt data during transfer and provide disaster recovery
  • Save time. Increase biofuels output by using a “routing layer” to connect the blend component to any meter on the loading arm. Routing to larger meters reduces load time. Flexibly add or change blends, meters, bay arms, components or additives.
  • Save money. Integrate with your TAS and back-office ERP, with network support for ethernet (TCP/IP) or serial. Modular architecture makes it easier and less expensive to adapt flexibly to new business requirements. Use custom logic and Modbus, instead of expensive hardware re-engineering work. Don’t buy additional presets to add a meter!
